Shipping policy

Complimentary Shipping
Every order at L'Élément de Joie ships free of charge — no minimums, no exceptions. Shipping is already folded into the price of each piece, so the price you see is the price you pay.
Delivery Timeframes
Because each piece in our collection is sourced individually — and many are made to order — delivery timelines vary by product. You'll find the estimated shipping window listed directly beneath the price on each product page. Please check this before ordering if your timeline is a factor.
Standard Parcel Delivery
Smaller items ship via standard parcel carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS) and will be delivered to your door as usual.
Freight Delivery (Large & Oversized Pieces)
Larger pieces — including sofas, sectionals, dining tables, and natural stone or concrete pieces such as travertine tables — ship via freight (LTL) carrier rather than standard parcel service. A few important notes for freight deliveries:
- Delivery appointment: The freight carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window in advance.
- Curbside/driveway delivery: Standard freight delivery brings your item to your driveway or curbside — not inside your home. Please arrange for help moving the piece indoors, as drivers are not able to carry items inside or up stairs.
-
Inspect before you sign: This is important — please inspect all packaging for visible damage before signing the delivery receipt. If you notice any damage to the crate, pallet, or packaging:
- Note it in writing on the delivery receipt before signing
- Take photos of the damage while the item is still with the driver
- Contact us within 48 hours with photos so we can begin a claim
Natural Material Variation
Pieces made from natural materials — including travertine, marble, and solid wood — carry natural variation in veining, color, and grain. This is a feature of authentic material, not a defect, and photos are representative but not identical to the exact piece you'll receive.
Delays Outside Our Control
While we work with trusted carriers, occasional delays can occur due to weather, carrier scheduling, or production timing beyond our control. We'll keep you updated with tracking information and will do everything we can to keep you informed if a delay arises.
