The Design Story

Generous rounded upholstery and elegantly curved solid wood legs create a relaxed, architectural silhouette.

The Raphaël Accent Chair brings a sense of quiet sculpture to everyday seating. Its generously rounded back curves around a substantial upholstered seat, creating an inviting silhouette defined by softness rather than ornament. With its low profile and armless construction, Raphaël feels contemporary, relaxed, and thoughtfully proportioned.

Beneath the upholstered form, gracefully curved solid wood legs introduce a compelling architectural contrast. Their warm finish grounds the design, while the open space below the seat lends visual lightness to its generous proportions. The result is an understated balance of organic contours and deliberate structure.

Equally at home beside a sofa or in a thoughtfully furnished bedroom, Raphaël creates a comfortable destination for reading, conversation, or a quiet moment alone. Its sculptural presence makes it an appealing choice for interiors that value distinctive shapes, welcoming textures, and furniture with individual character.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

Raphaël's upholstery introduces a soft, tactile surface that complements its rounded form. The fabric wraps the generous seat and curved backrest, emphasizing the chair's flowing contours and inviting proportions. Subtle variations in light across the upholstery bring depth to its warm appearance.

Solid wood legs provide a distinct contrast beneath the upholstered body. Their smooth, curved construction introduces an organic architectural element, balancing the softness above with visible structure below. Together, these materials create a chair that feels both comfortable and visually considered.

Additional Information

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
