The Design Story

A round reflective center appears to float inside a square wood frame, grounded by grooved slats across the lower half.

The Louise Wood Mirror places two simple geometries in deliberate tension: a circular mirror sits inside a square wooden frame, while a grooved wood inlay rises across the lower portion like a field of vertical lines. The contrast gives the small 20-inch format far more depth than a conventional wood-framed round mirror.

Warm brown wood keeps the geometry from feeling severe. Louise can work above an entry table, within a dining-room wall grouping, or in a living-room vignette where the grooved lower section can echo fluted furniture, reeded glass, or other linear textures without becoming overly decorative.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

Wood gives Louise both its warmth and its relief. The square perimeter stays broad and simple, while the grooved lower section breaks the surface into repeated vertical lines that catch shadow differently across the frame.

The circular glass provides a smooth counterpoint to that tactile wood. Seen together, the reflective center, square outline, and linear grooves create three distinct surface behaviors without introducing another material or color.

Additional Information

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
