The Design Story

Three interlocking links translate dense natural marble into a loose sculptural gesture shaped by veining, weight, and negative space.

The Marlow Marble Chain turns the familiar softness of a draped link into something deliberately dense. Three rounded loops are hand carved from thick solid marble, creating a small-scale sculpture where weight and movement appear to contradict one another.

Creamy taupe coloration keeps the piece quiet enough for layered rooms, while natural veining, speckling, and tonal shifts ensure the surface never reads as flat. Styled alone or across books and trays, its strongest feature is the contrast between solid stone and the open space held inside each link.

Design Highlights

  1. 01 Solid Marble — Thick natural marble gives the compact object real material weight and depth.
  2. 02 Hand-Carved Links — Three interlocking loops are individually shaped into a continuous sculptural chain.
  3. 03 Natural Stone Variation — Veining, texture, and color shifts vary from piece to piece and are intrinsic to the stone.
  4. 04 Compact Sculptural Scale — The 14-inch form works across consoles, shelves, coffee tables, and desks without losing presence.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

Marlow is carved from natural marble, so every piece carries its own balance of creamy taupe color, veining, speckling, and textural variation. These shifts are not defects; they are the visual record of the stone itself.

The material’s density gives the object a grounded presence even though the linked form reads as fluid and open.

Additional Information

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
