The Design Story

Faceted geometry in layered greens, blues, and warm ivory.

Amandine takes one of geometry’s simplest forms and turns it into something far more dimensional. Hundreds of tightly arranged triangles shift among sage, slate blue, deep navy, and warm ivory, joining and separating to create larger diamonds, facets, and fractured planes across the wall. The effect is precise without becoming rigid: viewed closely, the individual shapes hold a crisp graphic rhythm; from farther away, they begin to merge into a layered mosaic with the visual depth of tessellated tile or cut stone. Subtle variation within the palette keeps the repetition moving, allowing the darker navy forms to establish structure while the softened greens and ivory introduce lightness between them.

That balance makes Amandine particularly effective in rooms that benefit from architectural definition. It can bring order to an entryway, give a study or den a stronger visual identity, or carry an otherwise restrained room without requiring layers of decorative embellishment around it. Warm wood and cognac tones draw out the earthiness of the sage, while charcoal, blackened metal, natural stone, and quieter upholstery emphasize its cooler slate and navy notes. Rather than behaving as decoration applied to the room after the fact, Amandine gives the wall its own geometry—and lets that geometry become part of the architecture.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

Amandine is digitally printed on a non-woven substrate with a fine embossed matte finish, giving its disciplined pattern a surface presence that feels more considered than a completely smooth printed ground. The subtle embossing introduces tactile dimension without interfering with the sharp edges of the triangles, while the matte finish tempers reflected light so the shifts among sage, slate blue, deep navy, and warm ivory remain clear and controlled. Up close, that restrained texture gives the densely arranged geometry additional depth; across the room, it recedes enough to let the faceted composition remain the focus.

The material construction also supports the precision that makes Amandine successful. Its straight, edge-to-edge pattern match allows the mosaic to continue cleanly from panel to panel, preserving the uninterrupted rhythm of the geometry across a larger wall. The pre-pasted, water-activated wallcovering is strippable and suitable for dry and moderately humid interiors, including bathrooms without direct water contact. A Blue Wool Rating of 8 provides strong fade resistance, while the wipe-clean surface gives the richly patterned wallcovering a practical durability to match its visual structure.

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
