The Design Story

Feathered ikat geometry in layered sage and emerald

Ondine explores the expressive side of geometry, transforming the familiar diamond into a rhythmic composition of softly feathered forms. Inspired by the blurred boundaries characteristic of traditional ikat textiles, its elongated medallions appear to expand and contract across the wall, creating a sense of movement within an otherwise disciplined repeat.

Deep emerald establishes the pattern's structure, while softer sage introduces a quieter, more atmospheric layer. The clean white ground lends definition and lightness, allowing each nested form to remain distinct without making the composition feel rigid. Up close, the intentionally softened edges lend the design a hand-rendered sensibility; from across the room, the repeating diamonds become an architectural element.

Ondine is particularly compelling alongside walnut, warm oak, natural stone, and understated metal finishes. In a contemporary bedroom, it creates a richly patterned backdrop for streamlined furnishings. In a dining room or entryway, its graphic rhythm adds definition without sacrificing warmth.

Printed on a finely embossed, matte non-woven material, Ondine brings together expressive textile-inspired patterning and the practicality of a pre-pasted wallcovering.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

Ondine is digitally printed on a 300 gsm non-woven wallcovering with a fine embossed matte surface. The subtle physical texture introduces a restrained tactile quality beneath the printed design, tempering the sharpness often associated with geometric wallpaper.

The material's 0.45 mm thickness gives it a defined surface presence, while its semi-opaque construction makes the condition and color of the underlying wall important. Light-colored, smooth or lightly textured surfaces are recommended to support the intended appearance of the design.

Its pre-pasted backing uses a water-activated adhesive, allowing repositioning while wet and strippable removal according to the manufacturer's instructions. The finish may be gently wiped with a damp cloth; abrasive cleaning, strong rubbing, and harsh cleaners should be avoided.

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
