The Design Story

Tailored Comfort in a Sculptural Silhouette

Pénélope brings softness and structure into balance through a silhouette that feels both modern and inviting. Its defining feature is the open hollow-back detail, which introduces a sense of visual lightness while giving the loveseat a sculptural identity that stands apart from more conventional forms. The result is a piece that feels thoughtful and distinctive without losing its everyday ease.

Generously padded with high-density sponge and upholstered in premium fabric, Pénélope is designed to deliver comfort as readily as style. Its proportions make it especially appealing in bedrooms, sitting areas, apartments, or smaller living spaces where every piece must work a little harder. Whether chosen in emerald green for a richer, moodier statement or in grey for a quieter, tailored look, the form remains the focal point.

A wood frame and slender metal legs provide dependable support while giving the loveseat a clean, elevated stance. Simple, versatile, and warmly modern, Pénélope adapts beautifully across interiors—from compact city spaces to layered, editorial rooms that call for seating with personality.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

Pénélope pairs soft upholstery with practical interior structure, combining premium fabric, high-density sponge cushioning, a supportive wood frame, and metal legs. This mix of materials gives the loveseat both comfort and clarity: the fabric softens the silhouette, the cushioning creates a more inviting sit, and the slim legs visually lighten the piece.

The open-back form adds a sculptural note, allowing negative space to become part of the design language. Rather than feeling heavy or overbuilt, Pénélope maintains a sense of airiness that makes it especially well suited to rooms where scale and flow matter. Its finish and proportions give it a polished, contemporary presence while remaining easy to integrate into a range of home styles.

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
