Cut along the tree's natural boundary and left uncorrected, the Rivière Board turns a cherry burl's concentric rings into the centerpiece rather than a flaw to plane away. A vein of deep red resin threads through the knot at its heart, sealed under a glass-clear epoxy finish that reads less like a coating and more like the surface has been set in still water. Laid flat on a counter or island, it holds its own as a display object even before a single olive or cured meat touches it.
