The Coralie Terracotta Vessel | Aged Black Terracotta Form

The Design Story

A handmade terracotta vessel finished in aged black, using quiet surface variation and a grounded earthen silhouette instead of applied ornament.

The Coralie Terracotta Vessel relies on proportion, material, and darkened surface rather than decorative pattern. Its aged-black terracotta gives the form a grounded, almost excavated presence, allowing subtle changes in color and texture to register more clearly against the restrained silhouette.

Handmade variation keeps the black finish from reading as flat or manufactured. Styled alone on a console or shelf, Coralie works as a dark visual anchor; when used with water, a liner is required because the terracotta vessel is not water-tight.

Design Highlights

01 Terracotta Construction — The vessel is made from earthen terracotta ceramic, giving the dark finish real material depth.
02 Aged Black Surface — Subtle shifts in tone and texture prevent the monochrome finish from appearing uniform.
03 Handmade Variation — Slight differences in color and surface texture are expected from piece to piece.
04 Liner Required for Water — The vessel is not water-tight and must be used with a liner if filled with water.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

Terracotta gives Coralie a dry, mineral surface beneath the aged-black finish. Because the pieces are handmade, slight shifts in tone and texture should be expected rather than treated as inconsistencies.

The vessel is decorative by nature and is not water-tight; use a liner whenever water is introduced.

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
