The Design Story

Interlaced diamond-and-ogee geometry in black, pearl, and gold

Ellena creates a quiet illusion of depth from an intricate network of looped ribbons. Overlapping diamonds and elongated ogee forms produce a disciplined rhythm, while fine contrasting lines soften the pattern's geometry. The palette—black, pearl, and gold metallic accents—makes a nuanced statement without overwhelming the room.

From York Wallcoverings' Tea Garden Second Edition, Ellena brings an architectural interpretation to the collection's more contemplative sensibility. The pattern suggests layers and raised forms through its graphic composition; the supplied specifications do not establish an embossed surface, so the dimension is best understood as a visual effect.

Ellena gives an entryway the composure of a tailored interior and makes an elegant backdrop for a bedroom or intimate dining space. Pair it with ebonized wood, pale upholstery, stone, and warm brass. It is supplied by the double roll, with a straight match and a 25.25-inch vertical repeat.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

Ellena is produced on a non-woven fabric wallcovering substrate. Its interlacing ribbons, fine stripes, and gold metallic-looking details create dimensional interest through pattern and contrast; a physically raised finish has not been verified.

The print reads as a composed geometric texture from across the room, then reveals its looped-line construction up close. Black and pearl provide the structure while restrained gold accents add warmth and a subtle change of emphasis under light.

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
