The Design Story

Black-and-gold diamond geometry with a radiant metallic glow

Harlowe draws the eye inward to a small dark diamond, then sends fine metallic-gold rays outward in a disciplined burst of movement. Repeated across a jet-black ground, the motif creates an architectural rhythm that shifts between a geometric lattice and an illuminated textile effect.

Part of York Wallcoverings' Modern Metals Second Edition, Harlowe brings a refined metallic dimension to contemporary pattern. Its disciplined symmetry, dark ground, and golden detailing balance sharp geometry with the warmth of a carefully lit interior.

Consider Harlowe for a dramatic entryway, a dining room with sculptural lighting, or a bedroom composed in charcoal and warm metal. A black stone console, rounded mirror, or softly upholstered chair lets its graphic structure come forward. The wallpaper is sold by the double roll, with a straight match and 12.6-inch vertical repeat.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

Harlowe's non-woven substrate carries a precisely drawn geometric composition. Fine gold-toned metallic detailing contrasts with the dark printed ground, creating a sense of light and dimension without a claim of raised or embossed texture.

From a distance, the motif reads as a unified dark-gold lattice. Closer inspection reveals countless delicate lines radiating from each diamond and changing emphasis as light moves across the wall.

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
