The Lawless Rose Wallpaper | Navy, Blush & Sage

The Design Story

Watercolor skulls, softened by florals and painterly desert color.

Lawless Rose plays beautifully with contradiction. Watercolor deer, bison, and longhorn skulls bring a graphic, untamed presence to the wall, while blush roses, eucalyptus-like greenery, feathers, and loose botanical gestures soften the composition. Behind them, irregular washes and hand-drawn marks move through deep navy, dusty blush, warm sand, muted sage, and quiet neutrals.

The result isn't traditional Western and it isn't delicate floral. It lives somewhere more interesting between the two—romantic without becoming precious, rustic without feeling themed, and bold enough to change the character of an entire room.

Its generous scale gives the individual motifs room to register from across the space while revealing watercolor variation and finer botanical detail up close. Against warm wood, cognac leather, ivory upholstery, blackened metal, or natural stone, Lawless Rose becomes less a decorative backdrop than part of the room's architecture.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

The traditional non-woven ground gives the design a refined wallcovering presence, while the subtle sheen lends gentle dimension to the watercolor artwork. Soft tonal variation, translucent washes, fine illustrated lines, and layered brushwork preserve the character of the original painted composition, allowing the florals, foliage, feathers, and skeletal forms to shift between delicate detail and stronger graphic presence as the eye moves across the wall.

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
