The Design Story

Hand-sourced in Bali, natural teak root becomes functional sculpture in a one-of-a-kind dining table shaped by the wood itself.

The Nusa Dining Table begins not with a conventional furniture form, but with the expressive architecture of natural teak root. Handcrafted in Bali, its substantial base follows the wood's existing curves, openings, knots, and irregular edges, allowing the material itself to determine the character of the piece.

A round dining surface brings restraint to that wild organic structure, creating an intimate 40-inch table with the presence of a much larger work. From every angle, grain shifts, openings reveal themselves, and the root moves between solidity and negative space. The result feels less designed around the material than discovered within it.

No two Nusa tables are exactly alike. Natural variation isn't something concealed or corrected here—it is fundamental to the design. The Nature of the Piece

Teak root gives the Nusa its identity before craftsmanship ever gives it the form of a table. Dense grain travels across sweeping curves, fractured edges, knots and naturally occurring openings, creating a surface that shifts between rugged texture and richly figured wood. Warm tonal variation deepens that effect, with lighter and darker areas following the growth and structure of the root.

Cracks, knots, openings, changes in grain, irregular contours and variations in color are inherent characteristics rather than imperfections. They ensure that each table retains evidence of the material's natural history and that no two examples will present exactly alike. We'll work with you and our delivery partner to determine the appropriate resolution. Natural variations inherent to materials such as stone and wood—including differences in color, veining, grain, texture, fissures, knots, and pattern—are part of the individual character of the piece and are not considered defects.

Shipping

Complimentary standard shipping is included on all orders. Smaller items typically ship by parcel carrier, while larger furniture, oversized pieces, and heavy natural stone items may ship by freight.

For freight deliveries, the carrier will contact you directly using the phone number provided with your order to arrange a delivery appointment. Standard freight service typically delivers your order to the curb, driveway, garage, or first dry area accessible to the carrier, depending on the carrier and delivery location. Standard freight delivery does not include placement inside your home, unpacking, assembly, or removal of packaging unless specifically stated.

Some products may offer upgraded delivery services, such as threshold, room-of-choice, or white-glove delivery. When an upgrade is available, the available service options and any additional charges will be shown at checkout.

Damages

If your order arrives damaged, submit claims within 2 days of receipt. Include photos of the unopened packaging, photos of the damage, and a copy of the signed BOL noting the damage.
Missing Items

Items shown as 'Delivered' by the carrier but are reported missing must be reported to Daniel House Club within 1 week of the delivery date as shown by the carrier.
