The Design Story

A wide-bodied vessel shaped from solid mixed reclaimed wood, retaining source markings, tonal shifts, and grain as its only ornament.

The Pauline Reclaimed Wood Vessel uses the familiar language of a jar but lets reclaimed wood change the reading completely. A broad body rises into a flared rim, giving the object enough silhouette to stand alone while leaving the wood’s grain and source markings to carry the surface.

Because the mixed reclaimed material varies from piece to piece, Pauline resists the uniformity of a conventional decorative vase. Tonal shifts, wear, and natural markings make each vessel feel collected rather than repeated, particularly when left unfilled as a sculptural object.

The Nature of the Piece

Pauline’s reclaimed wood is intentionally allowed to look reclaimed. Grain, tonal shifts, markings, and evidence of the material’s prior life remain visible rather than being standardized into a uniform finish.

Each vessel will vary, and that variation is central to the piece’s character. It is intended for dry decorative styling only and is not water-tight.

For freight deliveries, the carrier will contact you directly using the phone number provided with your order to arrange a delivery appointment. Standard freight service typically delivers your order to the curb, driveway, garage, or first dry area accessible to the carrier, depending on the carrier and delivery location. Standard freight delivery does not include placement inside your home, unpacking, assembly, or removal of packaging unless specifically stated.

Some products may offer upgraded delivery services, such as threshold, room-of-choice, or white-glove delivery. When an upgrade is available, the available service options and any additional charges will be shown at checkout.

Damages

If your order arrives damaged, submit claims within 2 days of receipt. Include photos of the unopened packaging, photos of the damage, and a copy of the signed BOL noting the damage.
Missing Items

Items shown as 'Delivered' by the carrier but are reported missing must be reported to Daniel House Club within 1 week of the delivery date as shown by the carrier.
