The Design Story

Ornamental botanical symmetry in deep forest green

Corentine reimagines the decorative richness of traditional damask through an intricate arrangement of botanical forms and beautifully balanced symmetry. Against a saturated forest-green ground, scrolling leaves, stylized flowers, and delicate ornamental details unfold in a continuous composition that feels both historic and refreshingly expressive.

Its character lies in the relationship between abundance and order. Finely illustrated foliage branches outward from repeating vertical axes, forming elaborate botanical medallions that recall the craftsmanship of antique textiles and decorative wall panels. Yet the closely spaced motifs and carefully controlled palette bring a distinctly contemporary sensibility to the design.

Soft ivory introduces definition and luminosity, while muted sage and restrained golden-beige accents enrich the composition without competing with the dominant green. The result is a pattern that rewards closer inspection: what initially appears as a richly textured botanical surface gradually reveals an intricate network of mirrored shapes, graceful curves, and ornamental floral forms.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

Corentine is digitally printed on a 300 gsm non-woven wallcovering featuring a fine embossed matte surface. The material offers a subtle physical texture beneath the printed design, introducing tactile variation that complements the intricate botanical ornamentation.

Its matte finish is particularly well suited to the depth of the forest-green ground. Rather than relying on reflective shine, the pattern achieves its decorative richness through detailed linework, layered color, and contrast between the darker background and lighter botanical forms.

The embossed surface adds a restrained sense of material dimension without attempting to replicate the construction of traditional woven damask. Corentine's textile heritage is expressed through its symmetrical motifs and ornamental character, while the wallcovering itself is a digitally printed non-woven material.

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
