Its surface is worked in dense diamond button-tufting, pulled taut across a thickened foam core engineered to hold its shape rather than surrender to it, while a nailhead-trimmed edge frames the velvet in a fine line of polished studs. Beneath this weight of black velvet, the frame dissolves into four acrylic feet — clear, faceted, almost liquid — so the piece appears to hover rather than rest.
