The Design Story

Expressive floral illustration against an unapologetically vivid fuchsia ground.

Some rooms whisper. Vivienne was never going to be one of them.

Inspired by the expressive spirit of vintage fashion prints, The Vivienne Wallpaper brings an arresting interplay of saturated fuchsia and intricate black-and-white botanical illustration to the modern interior. Oversized blossoms, richly detailed foliage, and delicate ink-like shading create a dramatic composition that feels simultaneously nostalgic and decidedly contemporary.

There is something wonderfully unexpected about Vivienne's dual personality. Her floral forms carry the romance of traditional botanical studies, while the electrifying background introduces a confident, fashion-forward sensibility. The contrast is striking, turning familiar organic motifs into a graphic statement with unmistakable presence.

Against charcoal cabinetry, sculptural furnishings, and warm metallic finishes, Vivienne becomes an architectural focal point. Paired with walnut, ivory upholstery, and thoughtfully restrained accessories, she reveals a softer, more collected expression. From intimate powder rooms and expressive dressing spaces to sophisticated home offices, her versatility lies in the company she keeps.

Vivienne celebrates interiors with individuality—spaces that embrace color, invite conversation, and refuse to disappear into the background.

Material Character

The Nature of the Piece

Vivienne's character begins with contrast. Delicate black-and-white botanical detailing appears almost etched against the vivid fuchsia ground, balancing fine visual texture with extraordinary color intensity.

The illustrated petals, shaded leaves, and layered blossoms create a richly expressive surface, while the repeating composition allows the artwork to extend across an entire wall.

And there is a subtle tension between the softness of the floral imagery and the boldness of its color. Fine botanical linework gives each blossom a sense of depth and delicacy, while the saturated background lends the overall composition a striking, almost textile-like richness. Together, these qualities create a surface that feels both artfully nostalgic and unmistakably modern.

No two homes come together in quite the same way—and neither do the pieces chosen for them. Our collection brings together furnishings and objects from a variety of makers and manufacturers, each with its own production schedules, shipping methods, and delivery options.

We consider those differences part of the process of sourcing pieces with character. Whether an item arrives by parcel within days, travels by freight, or is prepared especially for your order, our focus remains the same: selecting pieces worth bringing into your home and making the journey from their source to your space as thoughtful as possible.

A well-considered home isn't assembled all at once. It takes shape piece by piece, through objects chosen not simply to fill a space, but to make that space feel like home.
