Some materials are meant to be smoothed into submission. These aren't. Travertine, concrete, and other materially expressive surfaces are chosen for the character polish would erase — mineral striation, tonal variation, natural pitting, and the visual weight of the material itself. This is the collection for texture over polish, for pieces that ground a room in something closer to earth than to shine.
